Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Guests often rave about the diverse menu, especially the Sunday roast deal—a must-try for just £14.50, which includes homemade Yorkshire pudding and seasonal vegetables. Many highlight the attentive and friendly staff, making each visit feel personal. The generous portion sizes impress families and groups alike, ensuring everyone leaves satisfied. Additionally, the bar's excellent beer selection and delightful cocktails enhance the overall experience, catering to various preferences. Live music adds a lively touch that keeps the atmosphere buzzing, especially on weekends. People appreciate the outdoor seating, perfect for warm days spent lounging with friends or enjoying leisurely brunches.

Most Disliked

Some patrons mention that the atmosphere can feel a bit lacking during quieter days, especially without a lively crowd. A couple of reviews highlighted that certain dishes, like roasters on Christmas Day, could have benefitted from a bit more cooking time for perfection. Additionally, while the kids' menu is generally well-received, a few parents wished for more entertainment options for their little ones to make visits more enjoyable. There have been slight complaints about noise levels when the bar gets busy, but that comes with the territory of a vibrant space. Lastly, reservations are recommended due to the bar's popularity during peak hours, which some find inconvenient when hoping for a spontaneous visit.

Had the Sunday roast deal. One word. DELICIOUS!!!! 10/10 highly recommend, great value for money and so tasty. Roast beef, homemade Yorkshire pudding, roasties, seasonal veg and gravy all for £14.50. Staff are friendly and attentive. The caramel apple pie was really great too. Chocolate fudge cake was fine. Can’t wait to come back : )

Xmas Day lunch with 3 young kids Service was good. Food was absolutely delicious and all came to the table hot. (roaster’s could have been cooked for a while longer) not really any atmosphere and nothing really for the kids. Which might have been nice.

Food is delicious with good sized portions. My friend and I have visited it a few times. The 1st time we went we ordered starters, we were so full up that we didn't have room for the main. We now order mixed starters and then go to deserts. Great value, staff are nice especially the young lad, sorry forget his name. Recommend

First time here as was recommended by someone. Food was great with generous portions, even the kids meals were perfect as in some places they can be quite small so it’s hard to judge whether to order an 8 & 10 y/o the kids or adults food. They got 2 courses and they were only £7.50 each which for the quality of food was great so good if you have kids. The bar and lounge are connected but the place is very big so we were sat in the far end lounge in a cracking and comfortable booth. The staff were great, quick and very attentive and even entered us into their prize draw as we went in on their 10th anniversary which was nice as we aren’t locals to the bar YET. The place is very clean plays good music which was just the right volume when dining out so we will definitely be back and looking forward to our next visit to maybe try something different although my salt n chilli beef noodles was delicious. Prices were good too for 4 people and 4 drinks, we were just over £50. Go to TGI’s for example and pay double for less quality and portion.

Had Lunch in this bar restaurant for 2nd time as meeting friend and it's half way for both of us driving .Food was delicious and large servings , staff were very attentive and pleasant and the price was very reasonable . Menu has a wide selection to suit everyone and food was served quickly and was hot and plentiful. We have now made this our go to place .Lovely seating and family friendly too . Have nice outdoor seating too . Highly recommend this venue . Have just had 3rd visit today and again exceptional service particularly Kieran lovely young man who made up so welcome and served our food and drinks with such enthusiasm .All staff including the young girl Who also served us brought drinks sorry didn't get her name but again lovely welcoming person So the food maybe great and the price very reasonable but it's the staff like Keiran and young lady who make the visit worthwhile My friend and I travel in opposite directions to meet there could go elsewhere but wouldn't .See next time 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
